Job Description

Summary:

• Woodworker is like carpentry work; handling different types rack structures to build.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machines (saw, milling, and sanding).
• Prepare and set up machines and tools for manufacturing.
• Lift wood pieces onto machines, by hand or using jacks.
• Identify improper tool operations, sounds or vibrations.
• Ensure products meet standards and project specs.
• Use hand tools to trim or assemble products.
• Perform tasks assigned with proper training.
• Follow GMP rules and color codes.
• Report quality concerns of raw wood to supervisor.
• Review rack processing with supervisor (weight, wrapping, labeling).
• Ensure each picker takes their pick-up order.
• Keep facility and equipment clean and functional.
• Ensure all doors are closed.
• Collaborate on new projects as requested.
• Report and document any accidents to the supervisor.
• Use proper PPE for each task.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Able to handle tools and machines.
• Follow PPE requirements.
• Attention to detail and safety.
• Able to read measuring tape/ruler.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None required.

Education:

• High school graduate or GED.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, sit, and walk.
• Use mechanical tools.
• Clear vision and hearing.
• Work safely.
